How the Restaurant Came to Be

Fisher Street Bar and Grill is owned by a married couple, Ken and Jamie. They are both former electrical engineers who decided to seek out small-town Texas. After visiting from Austin, their family fell in love with the town and they realized they wanted to retire in Goldthwaite. Now, they are laying down roots by starting their own business using their engineering minds to set up a well-oiled machine.

Fisher Street Bar and Grill is in a building that’s over 100 years old. The building was once home to many Goldthwaite businesses including a Ford dealership, a sewing factory, an office building, and more. When Ken and Jamie first purchased the building, it was a big project to get it ready to serve the people of Goldthwaite. Using their engineering backgrounds, they renovated the building to last another 100 years.
